The expansion Vegas Golden Knights look to extend their franchise-best winning streak to seven games when they return home to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Knights increased their point streak to 11 games (10-0-1) with wins on back-to-back nights at Anaheim (Wednesday) and Los Angeles after the Christmas break to continue their storybook season.

Rickard Rakell is heating up and so are the Anaheim Ducks as they look for a third victory in four games when they host the struggling Arizona Coyotes on Sunday. Rakell has scored in four straight games - the second time in his career he's done so - to increase his team-leading goal total to 12 as Anaheim continues its climb up the playoff position ladder in the Western Conference.
Tampa Bay at Columbus 6:00 PM ET
Two teams coming off disappointing performances meet Sunday night to close out the 2017 portion of the schedule when the Tampa Bay Lightning open a five-game road trip against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Tampa Bay dropped a 5-3 decision to Philadelphia on Friday for its second loss in 12 games while the Blue Jackets coughed up a lead in the 5-4 setback at Ottawa the same night.
Winnipeg at Edmonton 7:00 PM ET
There is plenty of attention on the Winnipeg Jets’ young players, and entering Sunday’s contest at the Edmonton Oilers forward Kyle Connor continues to forge his way into a conversation that typically centers around Patrik Laine and Nikolaj Ehlers. Connor scored his 12th goal and recorded an assist in the Jets’ 4-2 home victory Friday over the New York Islanders, moving the 21-year-old into the top 10 among NHL rookies with 23 points.
Pittsburgh at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Penguins have plenty of work to do in the second half of the season to make the playoffs after winning two straight Stanley Cups and hope to finish the 2017 portion of the schedule with a road win against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. Pittsburgh woke up Saturday morning one point out of last place in the tight Metropolitan Division after a 2-1 loss at Carolina the night before and is 3-6-0 in its last nine games.
NY Islanders at Colorado 8:00 PM ET
The New York Islanders hope to end their five-game road losing streak when they conclude a two-game trek Sunday against the Colorado Avalanche. New York dropped a 4-2 decision in Winnipeg on Friday to fall to 0-4-1 away from home since posting a shootout victory at Florida on Dec. 4.
San Jose at Dallas 8:00 PM ET
The Dallas Stars have performed well at American Airlines Center of late and hope to keep the trend going when they continue their six-game homestand Sunday against the San Jose Sharks. Dallas has gone 3-0-1 over its last four in its own building, winning the last three - including a 4-2 decision against St. Louis on Friday.
Chicago at Calgary 9:00 PM ET
After halting their three-game skid in the last contest, the Chicago Blackhawks look to make it two straight road wins as they continue a six-game trip Sunday against the Calgary Flames. Chicago began its trek with three consecutive losses over which it scored a total of three goals before edging Edmonton 4-3 in overtime on Friday.
