October 27, 2018
Florida at New Jersey 12:00 PM ET
The Florida Panthers hope to get a boost from an inspiring comeback last time out and build their first winning streak of the season when they visit the New Jersey Devils for a Saturday matinee. The Panthers rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period to tie the host New York Islanders on Wednesday before Mike Hoffman’s overtime goal gave them a 3-2 victory and at least a point for the fourth time in five games.
NY Islanders at Philadelphia 1:00 PM ET
Inconsistent offensive performances have the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders taking on water in the Metropolitan Division. The Flyers will look to rebound from being shut out for the second time this season on Saturday afternoon when they host the Islanders at Wells Fargo Center.
Edmonton at Nashville 3:00 PM ET
The Nashville Predators remained perfect on the road with an overtime win at New Jersey on Thursday, but they will look to extend a more impressive streak in a Saturday matinee against the visiting Edmonton Oilers. The Predators have not lost to the Oilers in four-plus seasons, winning 13 meetings in a row - including a 3-0 victory at Edmonton on Oct. 20.
Washington at Calgary 4:00 PM ET
The Washington Capitals have struggled to regain their Stanley Cup-winning form, with Thursday's 4-1 setback in Edmonton serving as their fourth loss in six games. The Capitals will look to change their luck against the league's other Alberta resident on Saturday when they visit the Calgary Flames, who were blitzed for a staggering nine goals in their last contest.
Montreal at Boston 7:00 PM ET
The Boston Bruins are perfect at home this season and will look to keep that streak intact when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night in the latest matchup between the longstanding bitter rivals. Boston has dominated the Original Six rivalry of late, sweeping the series last season to make it six straight wins over the Canadiens.
Winnipeg at Toronto 7:00 PM ET
Auston Matthews entered Friday tied for the league lead in both goals (10) and points (16) despite being kept off the scoresheet in each of his last three games. The 21-year-old former Calder Trophy winner hopes to end his drought when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.
Buffalo at Columbus 7:00 PM ET
The Buffalo Sabres are off to their best start since 2011-12 as they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday looking for a fourth straight victory. Buffalo polished off a 3-2-0 western trip by outscoring Los Angeles and Anaheim by a combined 9-3 before defeating Montreal 4-3 on Thursday behind Kyle Okposo's power-play goal with 1 minute, 1 second remaining in the third period.
Chicago at St. Louis 8:00 PM ET
The St. Louis Blues are intent on rejoining the postseason conversation in 2018-19, but the primary talk surrounding the team at the moment stems from coach Mike Yeo discussing his job security. The Blues look to get back on their feet after dropping five of six when they host the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday in the second contest of their season-high seven-game homestand.
Colorado at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Wild attempt to extend their winning streak to five contests when they conclude their three-game homestand Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche. Minnesota improved to 4-0-2 at Xcel Energy Center with Thursday's 4-1 triumph over Los Angeles as Eric Fehr scored a goal and set up another to give him three points in his last two contests after notching four in 18 games last season.
Tampa Bay at Arizona 9:00 PM ET
The Arizona Coyotes have gained a little momentum after a frustrating start to the season and hope to build more confidence when they host the red-hot Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. The Coyotes scored just three times while losing four of their first five games but have totaled 15 goals while winning three of their last four after Thursday’s 4-1 triumph over Vancouver.
Pittsburgh at Vancouver 10:00 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Penguins didn't forget to pack their offense during their four-game road trip, scoring three goals in Toronto before doubling the effort at Edmonton and tallying a staggering nine times in their last outing in Calgary. The Penguins look to bring out the broom in a bid to finish their trek through Canada in style on Saturday when they visit the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena.
