Preview Roundups
March 06, 2018
Philadelphia at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers slipped a bit in their quest to earn homecourt advantage in the Eastern Conference playoffs with a loss at the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, and the road has generally been a difficult thing to master for the young squad. The 76ers will take another crack at winning away from home when they visit the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday.
Atlanta at Toronto 7:00 PM ET
The Atlanta Hawks are becoming a frisky team of late, but they are still on the bottom of the Eastern Conference. The Toronto Raptors, who host the Hawks on Tuesday, are at the top of the East and own the best home record in the NBA at 26-5.
Miami at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The Miami Heat look to continue their recent success against Washington when they host the Wizards on Tuesday. Miami has won six of its last seven meetings with the Wizards, including a 91-88 victory on Nov. 17 in its most recent visit to the nation's capital.
Houston at Oklahoma City 8:00 PM ET
The Houston Rockets will try to snap a tie for the second-longest winning streak in franchise history when they carry their 15-game run into Oklahoma City for a matchup with the Thunder on Tuesday. A 123-120 win over Boston at home over the weekend tied the Rockets' streak with two others established in both 1992-93 and 1993-94, seven shy of the franchise mark of 22 established in 2007-08.
Denver at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets finally found some success on the road to go with their stellar play at home and they look to cap a perfect three-game road trip with a visit to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. The Nuggets began the trip with a 9-19 mark away from home but knocked off Memphis and Cleveland to maintain their hold on the eighth spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
New York at Portland 10:00 PM ET
Damian Lillard has been on a roll over the past 3 1/2 weeks and his latest scoring binge extended the Portland Trail Blazers' season-best winning streak to seven games. The All-Star point guard aims to lead Portland to a victory over the sinking New York Knicks on Tuesday, one night after scoring 19 fourth-quarter points to rally his team past the Los Angeles Lakers.
Brooklyn at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors have not lost since returning from the All-Star break and will try to run the winning streak to six straight and reach 50 wins when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. The Warriors got the weekend off after finishing off a sweep of a three-game east coast trip with a 114-109 win at Atlanta on Friday.
New Orleans at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The last time the New Orleans Pelicans faced the Los Angeles Clippers they had the look of a defeated team, having just lost star forward DeMarcus Cousins for the season and beginning a stretch in which they would lose five of six games. The Pelicans head to Los Angeles for Tuesday's rematch under very different circumstances and hope to continue their longest winning streak in over seven years.
