Preview Roundups
March 04, 2018
Phoenix at Atlanta 3:30 PM ET
It likely won't mean all that much to either squad, but the Phoenix Suns or the host Atlanta Hawks will reach the 20-win mark when they tangle Sunday afternoon. The teams entered Saturday nestled in a group of five teams stuck on 19 wins, with the league-worst Memphis Grizzlies right behind with 18 victories.
Charlotte at Toronto 6:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors don't intend to give up the top spot in the Eastern Conference and are ripping through the schedule with wins in 12 of the last 14 games. The Charlotte Hornets, who visit the Raptors on Sunday, are running out of time to get into the playoff race and are not having much success against top-eight opponents on the current road trip.
Indiana at Washington 6:00 PM ET
The battle for homecourt advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs is crowded at the moment, with the Washington Wizards trying to hold off several teams for the No. 4 spot. The Indiana Pacers, who visit the Wizards on Sunday, are a half-game back for the No. 4 spot and are bouncing back after a pair of ugly losses.
New Orleans at Dallas 7:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans are being pulled forward by superstar Anthony Davis and are in a crowded race for the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference. Davis will try to lead the Pelicans to an eighth straight win when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
Philadelphia at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks are sinking in the Eastern Conference with four straight losses. One of the teams taking advantage of that swoon is the Philadelphia 76ers, who jumped in front of the Bucks in the standings and will try to make the advantage even larger when they visit Milwaukee on Sunday.
Brooklyn at L.A. Clippers 9:00 PM ET
After picking on one losing team from New York, the Los Angeles Clippers will try to take advantage of another when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. The Clippers bounced back from a loss to Western Conference-leading Houston by routing the Knicks 128-105 on Friday night.
New York at Sacramento 9:00 PM ET
The New York Knicks have offered little resistance defensively against a string of quality competition and hope to reverse that trend against one the league's worst offensive squads when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. Boston, Golden State and the Los Angeles Clippers averaged 124.7 points in handing the Knicks three straight losses.
