Minnesota at Chi. White Sox 5:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins look to continue their surge when they visit the American League-worst Chicago White Sox on Monday for a doubleheader that kicks off a huge five-game series. The Twins scored 27 runs over three contests while recording an interleague sweep of Arizona over the weekend to move within five games of first-place Cleveland in the AL Central and remain tied for the league’s second wild card.
LA Dodgers at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
The major league-best Los Angeles Dodgers look to begin a new winning streak and further damage the Pirates' playoff hopes when they begin a four-game series in Pittsburgh on Monday. Los Angeles owns a 20-game lead in the National League West but had its string of consecutive wins snapped at six with Sunday's 6-1 setback at Detroit.

The Baltimore Orioles squandered a chance to move up in the American League wild-card standings by dropping two of three over the weekend but are poised to bounce back with a long stretch of home games. The Orioles will try to take advantage of a last-place club when they host the Oakland Athletics on Monday for the opener of their three-game series.

The Arizona Diamondbacks did not have much luck against playoff contenders from the American League last week, but the schedule lightens up a tad as they continue their road trip. The Diamondbacks will try to snap a three-game slide when they visit the fading New York Mets on Monday for the opener of their four-game series.

The Boston Red Sox just battled their way through one tough series with a playoff contender and get set for another when they visit the Cleveland Indians on Monday for the opener of their four-game series. The American League East-leading Red Sox are winners of 14 of their last 17 games while the Indians, who sit atop the AL Central, enter the week with wins in eight of their last 10 contests.
Seattle at Atlanta 7:35 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners are playing through a difficult four-city, 13-day road trip that brings them into Atlanta for a three-game series with the Braves starting Monday night. Despite Sunday’s 3-0 loss at Tampa Bay, the Mariners arrive in Atlanta 1 1/2 games out of the second American League wild-card spot, after winning two of three against the Rays to kick off the trip that includes three games each against the New York Yankees and Baltimore.
