Jason Dickinson racked up two goals and an assist, and Miro Heiskanen scored his first NHL goal as the host Dallas Stars roared past the reeling Anaheim Ducks 5-2 on Thursday.

The win was the second in a row for the Stars after they lost three straight. Dallas has won 15 of its past 21 games against the Ducks.

Anaheim lost its fourth consecutive game and has been outscored 15-6 during the skid.

Dallas led from the start, getting on the board at the 4:48 mark of the first period on Dickinson's first goal. The center skated into the crease before tucking the puck in on the backhand past Anaheim goaltender John Gibson (36 saves).

Ryan Getzlaf answered for the Ducks about three minutes later. He picked off a pass, skated to the top of the circle and snapped off a perfect wrister to the top corner above the right shoulder of Dallas netminder Ben Bishop to tie the game at 1-1.

Dallas climbed back to the lead at the 11:30 mark of the first. Roman Polak carried the puck into the crease as he cut to the net before flipping it over Gibson's glove and into the net. Dickinson and Brett Ritchie assisted on the tally.

Getzlaf brought the Ducks even again 3:09 into the second period off assists from Nick Ritchie and Rickard Rakell. The deadlock lasted less than two minutes as Heiskanen, the third overall pick in the 2017 draft, recorded his first NHL tally.

Heiskanen, a 19-year-old from Finland, skated hard to the net while a four-on-four after a perfect pass from Jason Spezza before burying the puck in the net. Devin Shore also got an assist on the goal.

That tally seemed to wilt Anaheim's will, and the Stars took advantage of the lull to put away the game.

First, at the 11:16 mark, Mattias Janmark blitzed off the Dallas bench in time to swallow up a perfect two-line pass from Julius Honka. The feed started Janmark on a mini-breakaway that ended with his shot over Gibson's right shoulder and off the post into the net. John Klingberg also got an assist of the tally.

Then, with just 1:54 to play in the second period, Dickinson scored an insurance goal off an assist from Tyler Pitlick that gave the Stars a 5-2 advantage.

Bishop made 23 saves.
