Blake Griffin posted 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists to help the Detroit Pistons knock off the host Sacramento Kings 106-90 on Monday at Golden 1 Center.

Ish Smith scored 18 points, Reggie Bullock added 17 and Andre Drummond collected 16 rebounds and blocked three shots as Detroit won for just the fourth time in the past 17 games. Anthony Tolliver scored 12 points, Stanley Johnson added 11 points and three steals and Luke Kennard had 10 points.

Buddy Hield scored 20 points for the Kings, who fell for the fourth time in their past six games. De'Aaron Fox tallied 16 points, Justin Jackson added 15 and Skal Labissiere had 10.

The Pistons shot 46.8 percent from the field and made 14 of 29 3-pointers while improving to 1-3 on a five-game road trip that concludes Tuesday in Phoenix.

Detroit made 6 of 8 from 3-point range in the final quarter while outscoring Sacramento 33-24.

The Kings shot 45.5 percent from the field and hit 6 of 23 from long range.

Griffin scored seven points during a 9-0 run as Detroit took a 66-57 advantage with 5:12 left in the third quarter. The Kings were within five after a basket by Fox with 3:47 left before Griffin scored the next four points to push the lead back to nine, and the Pistons eventually led 73-66 entering the final stanza.

Kennard and Tolliver drained 3-pointers during a 10-0 surge early in the fourth quarter as Detroit held an 85-68 lead with 7:22 remaining. The Pistons continued to pull away and Bullock knocked down a 3-pointer to make it 98-76 with 4:09 left to pretty much end the suspense.

Griffin had 15 first-half points for the Pistons and Hield had 10 for the Kings in a game tied at 44 at the break.

Detroit led by as many as eight in the first quarter before settling for a 25-21 lead at the conclusion. Dwight Buycks made back-to-back baskets to start the second quarter before Sacramento rattled off nine consecutive points to take a 30-29 lead with 6:15 left in the half.

Hield's layup gave the Kings a 41-38 lead with 2:14 remaining before the Pistons recovered to tie it.
